Hello everyone,
SOUND
Still getting settled into the new digs here at massiverespect.com and so far things are moving slower than expected. None the less, progress is still being made toward getting out podcast back online and making the website real spiffy. If anyone is a Word Press Multi User guru out there, I need a little help with my media settings. I can’t seem to add pictures and there are some really good ones that need to be added.
VISION
Massiverespect.com will soon be adding our second contributor, Joe McLaren from Medford, Oregon. Joe is a long time friend of the Dub Cowboy and a fresh eye in the world of Reggae photography. His shots can currently be seen on the Reggae Rising Facebook Page, on the Rogue Agent Photo Facebook Page, and right here in the photo galleries section on MassiveRepect.com.
WORD
The other bit of interesting info is that I am beta testing a new feature in the software Serato Scratch Live that will show a live playlist as I am spinning on the Reggae Jamdown Radio Show. It’s not entirely stable yet and the functionality will hopefully extend so that those playlists can be seen on this website, but it’s another way that technology can help us stay connected.
GRATITUDE
To close, I just want to thank all the faithful readers and listeners of the Radio Show for your continued support. The Reggae Pledgedown on Mar 26 was a amazing show of solidarity. Much of the KHSU staff was on hand during the broadcast and I could see the excitement and awe in their faces. Our radio show raised the most money of all the music programs, only beat by Democracy Now! Without your support the 25 year legacy of Reggae on the radio in Humboldt would not exist. So much Massive Respect it’s ridiculous, all I can say is THANKS and I LOVE YOU.
I’d say leave me a comment, but I had to turn off that feature of the website for now. Too much spam. You can always reach me on Twitter and Facebook. I love hearing from you.
With Love and Dub,
DJ Dub Cowboy April 4 2010
PS. The 5th of April is my birthday, Thank you Mom and Dad.
